Good / Better / Best estimates present three options at once, letting homeowners choose the tier that fits them — while increasing your average job value significantly.
Open a lead and click + New Estimate.
Enter the property address (auto-filled if already on the lead).
Under Estimate Type, select Good / Better / Best (3-Tier).
For each tier (Good, Better, Best), enter: a tier label (you can rename these), a short description of what's included, and the price.
Make your descriptions specific and benefit-focused. Instead of '30-year shingle', write '30-year architectural shingle — 50% longer lifespan than standard with a transferable warranty'.
Add any line item details (materials, labor, permit fees) under each tier using the + Add Line Item button.
Upload photos of the damage or the current roof to the estimate — these appear in the proposal the homeowner sees.
Add a personal note to the homeowner in the Message field (optional but recommended).
Click Preview to see exactly what the homeowner will see, then click Save Estimate.
Scaffold highlights the Better (middle) tier by default with a 'Recommended' badge — this is the highest-converting presentation style based on behavioral research.
